Behind-the-scenes video features a new take on the epic intro

The suicide squad is now available for purchase on VOD and will be released on Blu-ray and DVD later this month. Director James Gunn previously announced that the Blu-ray will contain “a lot of cool extras,” but in the meantime he’s sharing his own behind-the-scenes content. In a recent Instagram post, Gunn shared a new look at the moment from the start of the film which features part of Task Force X marching together in front of the American flag. Fans saw numerous footage from that day of production, which featured Gunn strutting with the cast. The director’s new video takes a closer look at when he joined in and features the film’s epic score.

“This time I joined #TheSuicideSquad. By the way, it’s a good example of how John Murphy wrote pieces of the score before touring and we played it on set to help with the ‘mood, pace and camera work, ”Gunn wrote. You can check out the post below:

Recently, DC fans got a new look at the upcoming The suicide squad derivative series, Peacemaker, including the first preview of some footage. In addition to John Cena in the lead role, the show will feature The suicide squad‘s Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt and Steve Agee as John Economos as well as franchise newcomers Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith, Chris Conrad as Vigilante, Christopher Heyerdahl as Captain Locke, Chukwudi Iwuji as Clemson Murn, Lochlyn Munro as Larry Fitzgibbon and Annie Chang as Sophie Song.

Suicide Team releases on Blu-ray and DVD on October 26, and Peacemaker is set to debut on the streaming service in January.
