January 22 and 23 at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A cat show will take place at the Blue Pavilion. Admission is $4 for adults, $6 for groups or families of four, and $2 for seniors, vets, and students. More than 75 “exotic feline beauties will pose for the judges” and compete for awards, according to a press release from And a Mouse Cat Club, the host of the event. Parking is free and there will be pet toys, beds and other supplies for sale.
Ivy shooting at Seminary Hill
January 25, meet at the parking lot on Barner Drive; 9am
The Friends of the Seminary Hill Natural Area will be hosting this event to manage invasive ivy on the trees in the Natural Area. Gloves and dirty clothes recommended.
Riverside Fire Authority Meeting

These meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.
Timberland pop-up regional library in Toledo
January 27 at the Toledo Community Library; 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Timberland Regional Library will host a “pop-up library” on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month in Toledo. There will be take-out books, DVDs, craft bags, and guests can print materials and communicate with library staff.
