Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets

Warner’s Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets debuted at No. 1 on the NPD VideoScan First Alert chart, which tracks combined DVD and Blu-ray Disc unit sales, and the dedicated Blu-ray Disc sales chart for the week ended July 2.
The third ‘Fantastic Beasts’ film, which serves as a prequel to the ‘Harry Potter’ films, finds Dumbledore (Jude Law) staging a mission to stop Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) from taking over the wizarding world and declaring war on the humanity. It grossed $95.9 million at the domestic box office.
Blu-ray Disc formats accounted for 62% of the total Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets unit sales, with 15% 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and 47% standard Blu-ray.
No. 2 for a second week on both charts was Universal Pictures’ The villains. The DreamWorks Animation film is based on the Scholastic children’s graphic novels of the same name and follows five infamous animal friends who set out to trick the world into thinking they were good.
The best seller of the previous two weeks, Sony Pictures Morbiusslipped to No. 3 on both charts in its third week.

The No. 4 overall record seller was Paramount’s 1986 fighter jet classic Superior gun, continuing to enjoy the success of its theatrical sequel. It was #7 on the Blu-ray chart.
The No. 4 Blu-ray seller and No. 6 overall for record sales was Lionsgate’s Nicolas Cage action comedy. The unbearable weight of massive talent.
The #5 seller on both charts was Warner’s The Batman.

The Media Play News rental chart for the week ended July 3 had The villains at No. 1 for a second week, with Morbius again at No. 2.
Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets debuted as No. 3 rental. No. 4 was Vertical’s Last seen alive, available on disc early at Redbox kiosks. No. 5 was Sony Pictures Father Stu.
