F9 director Justin Lin wants the Fast and Furious franchise to continue after the 11th and final film. Arguably the series’ godfather, Lin has directed five films in the franchise. He’s on the cusp of directing the final two films in the series, all things considered, which will be released in the next few years.
We recently caught up with Justin Lin to talk about F9 and the future of the Fast and Furious franchise in a coordinated conversation with the release of F9 home entertainment. In the interview, Lin explained that he had had many conversations with his cast about their characters and that there was ample room for storytelling in a streaming landscape even after the main series had concluded. . One of the things I enjoy most about making these movies is telling the actors about their characters and their journey, because our cast and our world has grown so big.
