Reedsburg Public Library
The Friends of Reedsburg Public Library Book Sale is back and will be held during library hours September 9-12 in the Community Hall.
After a one-year hiatus in book sales due to the pandemic, the Reedsburg Public Library will accept donations for the sale of books until September 8. If you’ve cleaned up in the past year, the library can use your donation of hardcover and pocket books for children, teens, and adults. DVD movies, audiobooks on CDs and music CDs will also be accepted. Unfortunately, encyclopedias, textbooks or VHS tapes cannot be accepted; materials in poor condition may be refused. Bring your lightly used donations to the library community hall during these two weeks.
The Friends of the Library Book Sale features these donations, items donated before the pandemic, as well as books and audiovisual titles from the library’s collection that are duplicate, obsolete, or no longer needed. So far, the library sale appears to offer a huge selection of adult fiction and non-fiction books. Individual items will not be charged, as free will donations to the group of friends are accepted in payment. Volunteers from the Friends of the Library group will be available in the community hall to manage cash, check and credit card sales.
Perhaps now is a great time to become a friend of the Reedsburg Public Library. Members of the group of friends are invited to a “Member Sneak Peek” book sale night where they have their first choice of sales materials. A one-year group membership, valid until summer 2022, costs just $ 5. A family membership is $ 10 for the year and a lifetime membership is $ 75. Friends of the Library are active in a number of fun fundraising activities that allow the library to raise additional funds to be used for special collections, programs or library projects.
