‘I honestly believe’ – Sky Sports pundit’s incredible Celtic jibe

We must all be used to this kind of southern drivel.

At every opportunity they try to attack our game to try and bring it down and to be honest it’s very annoying now.

But you would expect better from an employee of Scottish football’s main sponsor, Danny Mills.

Speaking to Football Insider, Mills makes a startling claim about Scotland’s premier competition and makes a disrespectful statement about Celtic as he spoke about Matt O’Riley’s move to heaven, “I’ve always said that if we’re being honest the Scottish Premiership is a mix of Championship and League One.

“Celtic are towards the Championship playoffs.

“It’s a step up for him, but he will play against similar teams to the ones he was at MK Dons.

“I honestly believe that if he’s made it to level it’s not a huge leap to the Scottish Premiership.

“If you equate that to a similar level in the Championship, you would think ‘Yeah, he’ll be fine’. That’s where he is.

“It’s like a move to a big league club chasing the play-offs. That’s the kind of level.

These pundits only bother with comments like this and it makes one thing absolutely clear, their knowledge of the Scottish game is clearly next to none if they honestly believe Celtic are a Championship level side.
