It’s always a good time for moviegoers when Guillermo del Toro has a new movie in theaters, and he got us his latest one just in time for the holidays! Adapted from the novel of the same name, Alley of nightmares sees del Toro leave behind monsters, ghosts and ghouls in favor of a twisted period drama. But his ensemble cast is more exceptional than ever, including Bradley Cooper, Rooney mara, Cate Blanchett, Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, David Strathairn, and of course, Ron Perlman.

Located in the 1940s, Alley of nightmares stars Cooper as a man who uses his experience as a carnival merchant in an attempt to defraud the wealthy elite, promising a star-studded noir thriller with del Toro’s signature elegant touch. Speaking of which, this is the filmmaker’s first film since winning his Oscar for Best Director for The shape of water, so yes you bet the expectations are pretty high!

When is Alley of nightmares Come to the theater?

Alley of nightmares is in theaters nationwide on Friday, December 17, 2021. Searchlight Pictures will open the film in full in 2,120 theaters, but will face a juggernaut like No way home, the follow-up has the movie set for a tame $ 5-6 opening weekend.

Nightmare Alley also arrives in Canada, India and the Philippines on December 17, 2021. The rest of the international release dates arrive in early 2022, including Singapore on January 13, Belgium and France on January 19, and the UK on January 19. January the 21st. East Alley of nightmares Streaming on HBO Max, Netflix or Hulu?

No, Nightmare Alley is not currently showing on any service. The film will have an exclusive theatrical showcase before arriving on home video, and possibly streaming. As a Searchlight Pictures film, Alley of nightmares is owned by Disney, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll see it streaming on a Disney service first.

As part of an ongoing deal between HBO and Fox that predates the Disney merger, Alley of nightmares will be available to stream on HBO and HBO Max first during what is called the Pay-1 window (essentially, the first streaming / TV viewing after going through the cinema and home video windows). However, it is possible that it also arrives on Hulu at the same time thanks to a recent agreement between Disney and WarnerMedia (the company that owns HBO Max). At the end of November 2021, the companies signed a new agreement to split the streaming rights of 20th Century and Searchlight until the end of 2022, starting with Ron was wrong, which arrived on HBO Max and Disney + on December 15, 2021.

Is it available for rental or for purchase on PVOD?

No, Alley of nightmares not available to rent or buy at home – yet! Searchlight is releasing the film exclusively in theaters for now, however, when Alley of nightmares becomes available to watch at home, it will be on VOD first, followed by Blu-ray and DVD.
