July 12 sees new DVDs and Blu-rays such as The Beatles: Come Back and Star Trek: Lower Decks—Season 2, while Bob’s Burgers movie information arrives for digital purchase.
Disney Blu-ray disc and Peter Jackson DVD release The Beatles: Come Back finally arrives on July 12. The three-part documentary miniseries that became a streaming hit on Disney+ was originally slated for a Feb. 8 disc release, and some copies even ended up on shelves ahead of a last-minute recall due to this. which the studio describes as a technical problem. The Beatles: Come Back covers the making of the Beatles album in 1970 So be itwhose working title was Come back. Originally conceived as a feature film, The Beatles: Come Back was extended into three episodes with a total running time of nearly eight hours. The docuseries, which premiered on Disney+ on November 25, was compiled from nearly 60 hours of never-before-seen footage shot over 21 days, directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg in 1969, and more than 150 hours of audio unpublished, most of which have been locked in a vault for more than half a century.
Released by CBS and Paramount Home Entertainment Star Trek: Lower Decks—Season 2 on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on July 12. The animated series, which debuted on the Paramount+ streaming service, follows the adventures of the crew of the USS Cerritos, with a focus on the crew members who don’t always get the glory. The voice cast includes Tawny Newsome, Jack Quaid, Eugene Cordero, Noël Wells, Dawnn Lewis, Jerry O’Connell, Frad Tatasciore, Gillian Vigman, Paul Scheer and Carl Tart. The Blu-ray and DVD release includes all 10 episodes of the second season, plus over an hour of extras, such as animatics; Easter eggs; audio commentary on four episodes; the featurette “A Sound Foundation”, on the sound design of the series; and “Lower Decktionary: Season Two”, a preview of the making of the episodes.
World War II film Dog wolf arrives on Blu-ray and DVD July 12 from Lionsgate. Featuring action sequences using vintage aircraft, the film stars James Maslow (“Big Time Rush”) and Trevor Donovan (“90210”). In Dog wolf, while on a reconnaissance mission over Nazi-occupied France, pilot David Holden (Maslow) is shot down with a B-17 bomber. He lands near an airfield, where he learns that the Germans are loading the US-marked plane with a superb city-destroying bomb that could help the Axis win the war. Holden must evade search patrols and a vengeful Nazi soldier to rescue the captured crew and stop the doomsday plot.
Disney-Owned 20th Century Studios Animated Adventure Bob’s Burgers movie information will be available for digital purchase on July 12, the same day it will be available to stream on Hulu and HBO Max. The animated-mystery-adventure musical is based on the long-running Emmy-winning series “Bob’s Burgers.” In the feature film, after a burst water main creates a sinkhole in front of Bob’s Burgers and blocks the entrance, Bob and Linda Belcher struggle to keep the business afloat, and the kids try to solve a mystery that could save the restaurant. It arrives on Blu-ray and DVD on July 19 from Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution.

Shout! Factory will release the complete series of “The Six Million Dollar Man” on Blu-ray Disc on July 12. The 33-disc box set will include the original broadcast episodes of the entire series and come with a host of bonus features, including all three pilot films, new audio commentary with author Herbie J. Pilato and more. Running for five seasons in the 1970s, “The Six Million Dollar Man” made actor Lee Majors a star and memorable pop culture figure as the fictional character Steve Austin. The success of the series led to a slew of action figures, comic books, lunchboxes, coloring books, records, board games and eventually “The Bionic Woman”, a spin-off series starring featured lead character Jaime Sommers. The three pilot films and all 99 episodes were transferred in 2015 from new interpositive film elements struck in 2011 from the original negative. In the series, Colonel Steve Austin is seriously injured in a plane crash. It is rebuilt with advanced bionic technology. Atomic-powered limbs propel him to speeds of 60 mph, giving him the ability to knock down massive objects and take on the world’s most infamous villains and their evil plans.
The 1990 comedy crime drama Miami Blues will be released on Blu-ray Disc on July 12 as part of the MVD Rewind Collection.
