Star Wars boss on the future of sequel characters beyond the Skywalker Saga


Star wars Patron Saint Kathleen Kennedy suggested that among all the exciting Star wars universe projects that emerge, we can still get another glimpse of the characters introduced in the trilogy of the following film.

After 2019 The Rise of Skywalker, the likes of Rey, Finn and Poe have not been confirmed to appear in any major new movies or TV shows (although they have made appearances in projects such as The LEGO Star Wars Vacation Special).

But Lucasfilm President Kennedy teased that there were still plenty of opportunities for fans to see the sequel trilogy team again, as she put it. Empire that “conversations” are taking place about their future.

“Certainly, these are not characters that we are going to forget,” she said. “They will live, and those are conversations that are happening with the creative team as well.”

In the meantime, fans have plenty of other news Star wars content to look forward to, including the imminent Book by Boba Fett, the Ahsoka series and Thief one prequel series, Andor.

One of the most anticipated projects is the Obi wan kenobi series, which will see Ewan McGregor reprise his role as fan-favorite Jedi Obi-Wan, while Hayden Christensen also returns as Obi-Wan’s former apprentice Anakin Skywalker – now turned to the dark side as Sith Lord Dark Vador.

Kennedy also revealed during his interview how thrilled the two actors were to wield their lightsabers again after being away from the franchise for more than 15 years.

“The most exciting thing was being on set and watching the two them get upset, “she said.” They hadn’t seen each other for a long time.

While Obi-Wan Kenobi does not yet have a confirmed premiere date, we do know filming is over and we can expect to see the series sometime in 2022.
