The House of the Dragon actress was told not to meet her compatriot Rhaenyra


game of thrones fans have already started digging into its new prequel series Dragon Housewatching over the ancestors of the famous Daenerys Targaryen.

Early episodes saw Rhaenyra Targaryen played by young Australian actress Milly Alcock. Later in the series, Truth seekers Star Emma D’Arcy will reprise the role, playing an older version of the character.

However, Alcock has now revealed that series director Miguel Sapochnik insisted she did not meet D’Arcy before filming to discuss how they each planned to play the role.

“Me and Emma were like, ‘Let’s meet,'” Alcock said. The Hollywood Reporter. “We wanted to have a meeting with [director Miguel Sapochnik] and discuss Rhaenyra’s progression as a character.

“And Miguel didn’t want us to meet – which was really interesting! So we never had that discussion.

“Miguel was like, ‘Do you just believe you two have it.’ I think he was aware that we were trying to imitate each other.”

Rhaenyra isn’t the only character set to age later in the series, as young Alicent Hightower has so far been played by Emily Carey in the prequel.

Later in the series, Loan player one actress Olivia Cooke will play an older version of Alicent.

Other big-name stars featured in the series include: Doctor Who actor Matt Smith, Peaky Blinders star Paddy Considine, Spider-Man: No Coming Homeby Rhys Ifans Destiny: The Winx Saga actress Eve Best and Course of actionit’s Steve Toussaint.

The fantasy series is considered a hit for HBO, breaking ratings records for the network.

Therefore, Dragon House has already been renewed for a second series.

Dragon House broadcast on Sunday HBOand on Monday the Atlantic sky and NOW in the UK. Season 2 is confirmed. game of thrones seasons 1-8 are available on DVD and Blu-ray.
